With a Halloween parade! From what I understand you have to see it to believe it, so I’m looking forward to my first. On an educational side note, I think Halloween is a great opportunity for kids to show their creativity and innovation. The art of costuming can sometimes bring out the best in kids. Happy Halloween, and be safe.
I had the opportunity to see 4th graders sharing their Texas Native American research and models with other 4th graders. It was nice to see students have the opportunity to share their new knowledge with an authentic audience. Completing the work is one thing, being able to discuss and present that work is another. Well done guys!
Some pics of wheel construction.
Science Box rocks! This class of 3rd graders got to learn about different types of rocks from a geologist this morning. They got a small sample to take home as well.
I bet most of these kids had no idea they were going to be singing in French when they woke up this morning!
Ask a 2nd grader, they probably tested this out today.
Learning about Texas and Houston history. The kids loved it and made the connection to Tall Tales some of the classes have been studying.
